Why we are here.At Metea Valley, we are fortunate to have several active parent groups, ranging from our Athletic Boosters to our Parent Teacher Student Organization.
Now it's time to open our classroom doors. Education has changed a lot since we were in school, and the ways we can support our students at home are very different from how our parents supported us. We hope to open our classrooms, so parents can see first-hand the dynamic, engaging, rigorous learning experiences their students experience everyday. We also hope to spark conversations among parents to discuss how we can best help our students at home. During your visit, you will learn more about future-ready learning and visit several of our classes, in order to see a snapshot of the dynamic learning experiences that take place at Metea Valley everyday. While you may not see your student’s classes, you will see classrooms that represent the style of teaching and learning that your student experiences at Metea Valley. What to expect.Arrival: 7:30
Check-in at the front desk inside Door #1. We will begin our day in the Collaboration Center inside the LMC. We will also explain an observation sheet that we hope you find helpful while viewing each class. Classroom Visits: 8:17-8:50 You will visit four unique classrooms and observe the dynamic, engaging learning opportunities that you students experience very day at Metea Valley. Discussion: 8:50-9:09 We will facilitate a short discussion based on what was seen, focusing on how parents can best support their students' learning at home. We will end with a quick exit survey for you to provide us with feedback about your morning, in addition to your students' learning at Metea Valley. |
